Public Space One (PS1) is a nonprofit arts organization operating as an expansive, collaborative, communal social sculpture. It runs on the sweat equity of artists, actors, activists, musicians, performers, and writers working as volunteers. Through a variety of programs, presentations, and exhibitions in downtown Iowa City, it is an experimental platform for multiple forms of creative expression, social happenings, and other community-engaged activities.
PS1 is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 entity under the fiscal sponsorship of Legion Arts. It is located on the lower level of 120 N. Dubuque St in the Wesley Center.
