Pelvic girdle pain (PGP) or pubic symphysis dysfunction (PSD) affects 80% of women during pregnancy. Symptoms can range from mild to severe, often increasing in the 3rd trimester as the body starts preparing for delivery.
Often physiotherapists will recommend certain exercises to help, as well as the use of a Sacroiliac Pelvic Belt. The purpose of the belt is to keep the pelvis stable, which can greatly help to reduce pain and discomfort when moving around.
The band consists of an 10cm wide high-grade fabric with seamless technology, which offers even stretch and adjustable support that can be worn all day. The unique elastic fabric is split by hand, so that it can contour to your individual body shape. The velcro fasteners can be attached anywhere on the garment offering flexible sizing and adjustable compression.
Made in Australia, the Belly Band is a TGA Registered Medical Device (ARTG No. 282664) which my be eligible for a rebate through your Private Health Fund.
