In an overbite, or deep bite, the front teeth overlap the bottom teeth too much. Over time, this overlap can cause excessive wear and tear on the front teeth as they will continually make excessive contact every time you bite, gradually wearing them down. This may lead to the need for restorative dental work in the future if the deep bite is not addressed.
